We are doing 4 interns this year. So please encourage your students to apply following the process below. We have hired 9 interns already, so a great opportunity for a “CAREER”.
We have now posted the application for the 2019 Summer Machine Technology Internship. Please feel free to inform your students of this opportunity. The deadline to apply is March 31, 2019. All applications must be in by this date in for eligibility.

Once your students have applied for the internship they should expect the following:
· They will be notified as to the next steps in the online assessment processes.
· Once students have been taken the pre-employment test, they will be notified of whether or not they have passed or failed within 24 hours of taking the assessment.
· Please note that all students that passed the test will not necessarily receive an interview.
· Those selected for an interview will receive a notification in advance in order to make arrangements to interview.

Minimum Requirements for a Machinist Internship
- Completion of at least 2 semesters with a minimum GPA of 2.5 in an accredited college certificate program in Machine Technology
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Pass pre-employment physical exam, drug screen, and background check
- Must possess a valid TWIC card
- Must possess a valid BATC card
- Physical/outdoor work, including climbing
- Self motivated to work independently and be able to work with team members
- Basic computer skills including working in windows based computer system

It is that time of year again and I need to set up our Machinist internship. The internship will be 10 weeks and attached is the flyer.
Refinery tour – Tentative March 21st.
Applications – Will be posted on
www.shell.com/jobs . Posting will be live March 1
st. We will be following up with a separate note with an attached link and information about applying at that time.
Internship – June 3rd through August 8th.
Please start informing the students, and get me a count of who is interested to come on the tour. We have hired 10 past interns, and we are looking for more. This is a great opportunity for the students, so please be sure they start applying when the posting opens and come enjoy the tour.
This year we will be taking 4 interns and looking forward to some great candidates for the internship.
Last year we didn’t have very many Applications so we couldn’t fill 4 slots. Please encourage your students to apply. We have been hiring 1 to 2 out of each internship and we need to continue this.
