FYI. A great chance to network and meet others interested in welding - including companies that might be hiring.

Faculty, please pass along the word to students.

P.S. A generous sponsor has offered to cover AWS membership fees for students, so they can join for FREE at the meeting!

AWS Bay Area MEETING

Thursday, April 18th, 2019

April is National Welding Month, and AWS San Francisco is celebrating with FREE Student Night, hosted by Chabot College in Hayward. Whether you are in a welding training program, want to be, want to hire a skilled worker, or just have some fun, you are invited to join us.

The evening will feature a short presentation on the basics of inspection and metallurgy, a light pizza dinner, an introduction to the Chabot Welding, Machine Technology and Automotive programs, shop tours and demonstrations, a Virtual Welding competition, and more. Of course, there will be plenty of networking and socializing too. With the end of the spring semester fast approaching, both student job seekers and prospective employers are encouraged to attend, and we’ll do our best to connect you.

No RSVP is required, but a reservation is required for a parking permit and to give you priority in the food line at 6:30pm. It will also help us connect you with who you might want to meet professionally. Use the link below to respond.
