Field Service Representative

Jobsite: San Jose, CA

Innovative transit manufacturing company seeking a Field Service Representative to cover the San Jose, CA region. Interested candidates should have advanced electrical and electronic troubleshooting skills and experience with High Voltage equipment. Prior experience working on buses, trains, autos, trucks, military vehicles or aircraft and solid customer service skills preferred.

Responsibilities of the Field Service Representative

  • Repair and maintain all electric bus fleet and high voltage charging systems
  • Troubleshoot electronic, electrical (some mechanical) and high voltage issues
  • Mechanically diagnose issues
  • Troubleshoot and verify correct operation of equipment and field devices
  • Perform preventative maintenance on customer and company furnished equipment and devices
  • Up to 80% travel

Requirements of the Field Service Representative

  • Prior experience working on buses, trains, autos, trucks, military vehicles or aircraft
  • Hands-on experience in either electrical, mechanical or other related filed service experience.
  • Experience with electrical troubleshooting, mechanical troubleshooting, hands-on training and mentoring
  • Able to interpret and make decisions on what problems need to be fixed
  • Able to read drawings and schematics and track work, etc.
  • Solid customer service skills and experience
  • CDL (Class A or B) and/or are ASE certified a PLUS, but not a requirement.
