General Foundry Service is a low volume foundry with a machine shop specializing in precision components for various industries including medical,
biotech, military, semi-con and gps device. Currently, we are looking for a CNC programmer for the machine shop.
Job Description:
Create CNC program using SurfCam, produce machined parts from CNC program, setting up, and/or operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality & safety standards; keeping organized records; maintaining
equipment & supplies.
Required Skills:
• Ability to create and edit CNC programs for vertical and/or horizontal CNC centers (masterCAM, surfCAM, solidworks preferred)
• Must be knowledgeable in GD&T tolerance/dimensioning for both standard and metric systems
Responsibilities:
• Work with other technical members of the team to design and troubleshooting of all types of CAD work, including, but not limited to, new components, rev. changes, etc.
• Report any manufacturing equipment deficiencies/problems to the machine shop manager
• Responsible for promoting a safe, efficient and clean work environment
Education / Experience:
• Must have experience in machine shop practices and/or techniques and good knowledge of cutting tools, ability to design necessary tooling, process and fixturing
• Must be familiar with cutting metals
• Must have hands-on machining and fixturing and worked with different controllers
• Must have SurfCAM and/or MasterCAM & Solidworks knowledge
• At least 1 year of experience as a CNC Programmer with an aptitude for learning and constantly improving
