FYI. This Saturday (Nov 16) Lam Research is having another large hiring event (looking to fill 150 positions) from 10 am - 1 pm in Livermore (1 Portola Avenue Livermore, CA 94551). Details
are in the attached flyer.
They’re looking for electro-mechanical technicians and assemblers. The assembler position is an entry-level position ($18 and up) while the technician positions will require training or experience. Lam is a large company and there are good opportunities
for advancement.
Community college students - if you need / want to work now and you also want to continue working on your certificate, you can talk with them about the assembly positions and the possibilities of moving into a technician role as you gain experience
and training. And if you’re going to school now and can only work part-time, see if they’re open to a part-time hire until you can step into a full-time role.
Educators, please post and forward on to your students.
Regards,
Mark
