Hi all,
While we’re all sheltered in place right now, there are still a number of industries that are working to keep things running. One of these is the water / wastewater sector - because people still keep drinking water, taking showers (hopefully) and flushing the toilet.

There’s an internship program they're looking at for this summer. I just checked with them yesterday (4/4) and they are still planning on running it. Deadline is April 17.

P.S. Faculty, please forward to your students.

Date: March 26, 2020 at 4:02:13 PM PDT

I am sure things are crazy for you all and hope you and your family are healthy and hanging in there.  We would like your assistance in passing information on to your students about PAID Summer Internships at South Bay water/wastewater agencies.  Please forward on the attached flyer with more details and application information to your students. The deadline for applications is April 17th.  Water agencies who have expressed interest in hosting interns include: City of Sunnyvale, Valley Water and City of San Jose. We are focusing our outreach on students in the Machine Tech and Electronics programs at Chabot as well as Water Resources Management students at Gavilan.  Feel free to share more broadly if you know of others who might be interested.

Thank you,
Elizabeth Toups
