Electrical & Electronics Technology Department at Laney College is seeking a journey-level electrician to teach courses in the electrical department as either an adjunct or full-time instructor.

Electrical Instructor Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced inside wireman to join our electrical department team at Laney College.

The instructor will teach courses in residential and commercial wiring, electrical theory, and the National Electrical Code.  Instructors assist in the development of curriculum and student learning activities, stimulate classroom discussions, and ensure that students are engaged. Duties typically include providing career and academic counseling to students.

 Job Duties and Responsibilities

Develop labs as needed for the class that is taught

Implement, and maintain safety in electrical labs

Modify and develop curriculum as needed.

Maintain student records as well as lecture/lab materials

Cooperate with department instructors to keep the teaching material updated

Requirements and Qualifications

2 years college degree, and 6 years related electrical experience or:

4 years college degree and 2 years electrical experience
