Engineering Technician
R&D Lab Technician
Fabricator (Welding)
CNC Machinist

They're developing next-generation nuclear power generation. And before you say “yikes, nuclear power” - as a mechanical engineer and someone with a strong belief in the importance of renewable energy and combatting climate change, let me say that we need nuclear energy in the mix. First off, the new technologies are much safer than the older ones.

And while one day (decades from now) we will move beyond the need for fissile nuclear energy (moving on to fusion, along with solar & wind with storage capabilities) - we need carbon-free electrical power generation ASAP to power all the EV’s starting to come online. And until the storage technology for renewables get significantly better we will need some form of steady-state power generation that runs when the wind isn’t blowing and the sun isn’t shining.

So check it out.

Thanks,
Mark

Subject: Kairos Power is Hiring

Hello Raya,

I hope this message finds you well! My name is Alicia and I am a Recruiter for Kairos Power. We are currently hiring for multiple Trades level positions and I was hoping to partner with Laney as your campus is very close to our Headquarters in Alameda. I’m currently hiring for the following:

Engineering Technician
R&D Lab Technician
Fabricator (Welding)
CNC Machinist

My Director of Salt Chemistry is interested in coming to campus if that is easier to talk with students at any upcoming job/career fairs.

I also see you host a Weekly Employer Hiring Spotlight Series! I will submit our registration this evening, but please feel free to reach out with any questions/concerns.

Thank you,
Alicia
