Job Description:

 

Our client, a food manufacturing company located in San Jose, is currently looking for Maintenance Mechanics.  In this role, you will work on a team alongside other Maintenance Mechanics and production personnel.  This role will consist of:

 

Performing scheduled maintenance repairs of production including replacing failed components such as bearings, motors, starters, solenoids, etc.

Providing preventative maintenance, equipment setup and change over for production use.

Identify and diagnosing problems as well as replacing or repairing parts.

Adjusting functional parts of devices and control instruments.

Dismantling defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts, following specifications and blueprints, using precision measuring instruments and hand tolls.

Preparing and setting up machinery for scheduled production runs.

Performing mechanic skills including, but not limited to: mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulic troubleshooting and repair of packaging and production machines.

Reading and interpreting equipment manuals and work orders to rules and maintain clean and orderly work areas.  Must effectively communicate with peers, supervisors, and upper management on a daily basis.

Documenting work tasks using computerized maintenance management system.

 

Skills Required:

 

Must have a High School Diploma or equivalent

Must be available to work ANY shift

Weld and fabricate

Ability to read and interpret blueprint and schematics

Ability to lift objects up to 80lbs

Ability to install and troubleshoot:

- Variable frequency drives

- PLCs

- Conduit

- Motor control centers

- Control panels
