Hello Las Positas Team,

Hope you are all doing well!

I wanted to reach out to you in my new role, the Exec. Director of Human Resources for the Livermore Valley Joint Unified School District (LVJUSD), to see if you have any Business teachers and Machine Tools/Metals (or former dynamic students, who have work experience, or any partners) who might be interested in teaching high school students.

Livermore HIgh School has a full-time Business teaching position and a part-time to full-time Metals/Machine Tools teaching position posted for the 2022-23 school year, which start on August 23rd.  Yet, Livermore is on a trimester system; therefore, there is flexibility on the start dates.
  • Here is the link to the job postings (which isn't too informative - unfortunately).  We do need to update our posting to say that the requirement is to be eligible to hold a CTE credential.

  • Here are the requirements to qualify to teach Career Technical Education (CTE) at the high school level
    • Note one does not have to have a Bachelor's degree to be eligible to teach CTE.
    • LVJUSD will help connect any selected candidate to the County Office of Education, who can/will help them get the needed CTE credential.
Please feel free to share my name and email address with others, and don't hesitate to let me know if you have any questions

Thank you for your time and support!
Sincerely,
Amy
