Equipment Technician for Food Manufacturer with 3-5 yrs experience.

Casa Sanchez Foods manufactures tortilla chips, fresh salsa and other food items and distributes to food retailers and supermarkets throughout California.

We are currently located in Millbrae, next to SFO, but are planning to move to Hayward, near 92) in the Spring, 2015.
The pay range is $15-$20/hr. depending on experience.

REQUIREMENTS

·        Should have at least 3-5 Years of relevant experience

·        Experience working with tortilla chips manufacturing equipment (conveyors, pump and motors, industrial mixer, industrial fryer, tortilla oven, packaging equipment, etc.)

·        Knowledge in welding

·        Basic computer skills (Microsoft office, Internet, etc.)

·        Trained in GMP (a plus but not required)

·        Ability to work in a fast-paced, high pressure environment

·        Ability to multi-task and be flexible, willing to work overtime on occasion, and be asked to work swing or graveyard shift

·        Collaborative and team oriented with great communication skills

·        Bilingual (English – Spanish) not required but a plus

RESPONSIBILITIES:

·        Responsible for troubleshooting, repair and preventive maintenance on a wide variety of equipments, facility, fixtures and systems.

·        Ensure projects and assigned tasks are being carried out.

·        Minimize production downtime through quick repairs and correction.

·        Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and performs required preventive maintenance (lubrication, cleaning, filter change, etc.).

·        Keep maintenance shop in clean and orderly manner. Accountable for security of all tools, supplies and parts stored in the shop.

·        Report activities, status of repairs and equipment malfunctions to the Maintenance Supervisor.

·        Assists Maintenance Supervisor in repair and maintenance work and helping determine solutions.

·        Follow lockout/tag out safety procedures during services and repair.

·        Use personal protective equipment as required.

·        Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
