We need a Maintenance Technician to inspect, maintain, and repair our growing fleet of drywall robots at our San Francisco office. Reporting to our Production Manager, Hannah Jackson, you will maintain mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems on customer equipment. You will manage inventory and be in close communication with our Operations and Engineering teams regarding the status of machines. Since our fleet of robots deploys nation-wide, up to 20% of your time may be spent traveling.
Who You Are:
- Based in San Francisco (or commutable distance) with up to 20% travel
- Excellent cross-team communication (verbal and written) able to work with different stakeholders
- Experience troubleshooting electromechanical systems
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices (i.e. pressure gauge, calipers, multimeters, etc)
- Process oriented, able to follow instructions and stay organized
- Critical thinker able to thoroughly identify and document root-cause of equipment failures
- Comfortable learning new computer programs and tools
- Flexible, adaptable with a sense of urgency
- Resourceful
- Preferably, experience in robotics or construction, fluent in Spanish

- Shadow the production team to learn the mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems of our robots and their ancillary equipment

- Repair robots and ancillary equipment
- Perform root cause analysis on repairs
- Learn to use our inventory management system
- Travel for field service requests if needed
- In 90 days…
- Make recommendations to improve machine maintenance
- Provide feedback on the inventory management system and implement improvements
- In a year…
- Participate in the development of a formal maintenance plan
- Participate in the development of a standard field service toolkit
Pay Transparency
See the base annual salary range for this position, in the selected city, below. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location, and market conditions. Base pay is one part of the total compensation that is provided to recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses, incentives, and stock options.
