AMBayArea Awards Scholarships to Skilled Trades Students

In January, the Association of Manufacturers Bay Area (AMBayArea) awarded two manufacturing students scholarships. Collin Sensenbaugh, a student in the Machinist Program student at Napa Valley Community College, and Djaouida Djelouahi, a student in the Process Technology Program at Los Medanos College both received a $500 scholarship from the AMBayArea Skilled Trades Student Scholarship Fund.

Funds for the scholarships are raised through an annual golf benefit hosted by AMBayArea and Bay Area Community Colleges each fall. Applications are reviewed by AMBayArea board members. Applicants must be currently
enrolled in one of the 28 Bay Area community colleges, studying for a career in one of the manufacturing skilled trades (machining, welding, industrial maintenance, electronics, quality control, etc.), and provide a community college faculty member as a personal reference. In addition to the scholarships, the students will have the opportunity to attend the AMBayArea Summit 2023, which brings together Bay Area manufacturers for a day of subject matter experts, exhibits, and networking.

AMBayArea will continue to raise funds and provide scholarships to support Bay Area community college students and the manufacturing community.
Scholarship recipient Collin Sensenbaugh is a student in the Machinist Program student at Napa Valley Community College.
Scholarship recipient Djaouida Djelouahi is a student in the Process Technology Program at Los Medanos College.
