Hi all,
Another job looking for some years of experience, but if you feel you are close to the requirements - go ahead and apply. HOWEVER you need to make your case in the cover letter that you know you don’t meet all the requirements, but that you would still be an asset to their team. HR folks don’t like it when they get an application from applicants that don’t fit the requirements because they think you didn’t read the job posting.

However, if you point out that you know that, but have other qualifications that would compensate and make a convincing pitch for it, they might consider you. For instance, you’re taking classes now and will continue to take classes to upgrade your skills, you’re working on 3rd party credentials (i.e., NIMS), you have experience in a similar field, etc. You have to sell yourself to them.

Good luck.
Mark
