Job Title: Fabricator
Location: Uptown Oakland
Compensation: Commensurate with experience; $23 - $27+/hr
Benefits:
Vacation Time: 10 days accrued per year

seeking an experienced Fabricator to join our talented team of
artists and makers. We're looking for a motivated, hard-working
individual to work in our fabrication department where we make art,
wall sculpture, and architectural elements.
You should have a strong skillset with woodworking and/or art
materials - as well as a passion for making things, strong aesthetic
sensibility, work well within a team environment, work efficiently
with strong attention to detail - and be prepared to learn and help

Hours: 40 hours/week; available to work overtime as needed
Hours of Operation: Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm or 8:30a-5p; shift times may change based on business needs
SUMMARY:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following; however, other duties may be assigned.
1. Assist the Fabrication Shop Manager in all shop and fabrication-related tasks
2. Operate and maintain fabrication shop equipment
3. Work efficiently to complete assigned tasks within given timeframes
4. Translate ideas, instructions and shop drawings to physical products
5. Take notes and provide feedback on materials and fabrication techniques to the Lead Fabricator or Shop Manager
6. Provide creative solutions to challenging problems
7. Handle and install artwork in gallery and off site
8. Build crates and package product, prototypes / samples and orders for shipment via UPS / FedEx or Freight
9. Pick up and deliver materials and product as needed
10. Adhere to company systems and processes
11. Follow safety plans and procedures
12. Maintain a safe, clean and well-organized workspace
13. Contribute to the company by assisting the development of company culture, systems, products, and new techniques
