On May 1-3, 2015 there is a conference in Los Angeles, CA called "Women Building the Nation". This is the 5th annual conference for people in the trades to get together to discuss the issues surrounding women in the trades. More information is at:

As the Regional Director for Advanced Manufacturing in the Bay Area community colleges, I am using my grant to provide up to 4 scholarships ($500 max for each) to community college students who wish to attend the conference. This can pay for registration, transportation, hotel, and food to attend the conference. TEACHERS, please forward this on to your students.

If you are a women in the trades, attending community college, and would like to attend the conference please sign up for the scholarship below. Applications are due by 5 pm April 15 and we will let you know by April 17 if you've received the scholarship.
