Job Title: Machinist/Machine Operator 

 

Responsibilities:

•      Operates and maintains manual lathes, mills, and grinders.

•      Responsible for set-up and operation of manual turning, milling, and grinding machinery.

•      Produces and/or repairs precision parts using both manual and automated equipment for accurate measurements.

•      Keep records of approved and defective units

•      Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping.

•      Checks precision tolerances and makes tool adjustments.

Requirements:

•      Proven experience working in a machine shop.

•      Experience using manual lathes, mills, grinders, cutting tools, and inspection equipment.

•      Ability to read and understand drawings.

•      Able to maintain accurate part counts.

•      Completes jobs in a timely manner.

•      Basic math skills

•      Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety

•      Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy items (25+ lbs.)
