Position Requirements: The Bus Electronics
Mfg Support Ops & Equip Engineering Section is seeking an Electrical
Maintenance Technician to help Bus Electronics Manufacturing and supported
subsystems operations groups meet their equipment related goals and
objectives. The position will require the candidate to interface with cross
functional organizations to complete and support a variety of different
maintenance and operational activities. The position requires the use of
troubleshooting methodologies and specialized equipment to diagnose, repair
and improve equipment related problems.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns, determine root cause and
provide preventative maintenance solutions for a variety of manufacturing
equipment with an emphasis on Total Productive Maintenance. Equipment
includes:
o Thermal Vacuum Space Simulation Chambers. Cryo, diffusion, turbo and
mechanical pumping systems, thermal environment chambers, vibe lab
amplifiers, automated assembly equipment and various other manufacturing
tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot, repair and program PID controls, basic logic circuits and
power circuits.
• Perform equipment Improvement projects, qualification tests and
troubleshooting experiments.
• Document existing equipment electrical wiring and work with equipment
engineer to update equipment records and operating instructions.
• Coordinate with customers to plan and complete a variety of equipment and
facilities related Operations Support Requests.
• Perform a variety of preventative maintenance tasks. Identify and evaluate
spare parts and replacement parts.
• Submit facilities support requests and coordinate with contractors as
required to complete facilities repairs and modifications.
• Support cross functional organizations preventative maintenance and
equipment implementation needs. Carry out implementation of Equipment
Engineering improvement projects.
• Participate in Lean manufacturing improvement opportunity identification
and implementation.
