We have two opening here at B and C:
1) Lead fabricator (lead thinker) - WELDING
someone who has tig welding experience, layout and drawing experience, and a desire to sharpen their skills and build outstanding architectural elements and furniture.
2) Cnc programmer and operator/ layout person - CNC
someone who is well versed on different machines and different operating platforms for such machines as vertical mill (fadal) and horizontal lathe (daewoo)
and router (scm) as well as a welding robot (deihen)

Tig/Mig Fabricator and Metal artisan (oakland downtown)
compensation: $19-25
Skilled, experienced metal fabricator required for an already skilled and experienced team. Applicant must have ability to read shop drawings, perform layout along with having basic math skills.

Responsibilities:
* General fabrication, welding and finishing
* Design implementation
* Intermittent on-site installations
* Some client and vendor interface
* Shop organization & inventory
* Machine & tool upkeep and maintenance
* Multiple project workflow prioritization & management
* Material ordering and handling
* Order fulfillment
Required Qualifications
* 5+ years experience in professional metal fabrication
* Mastery of general metal fabrication procedures, MIG & TIG welding, plasma cutting and familiarity with metal working equipment such as horizontal band saw, rolls, brakes, drill press, hand tools, etc.
* Exceptional skill with an angle grinder--grinding, cutting, sanding, finishing, etc
* Fine finishing skills, with a focus on stainless and bronze
* Comprehension of shop drawings and basic layout principles
* Basic woodworking skills
* Ability to lift at least 50 lbs
* Good written and verbal communication skills
* Basic computer skills
Bonus Points
* Outstanding TIG skills
* Experience with surface treatments such as wax, lacquer, hot and cold patinas
You may have additional skills and experience to offer that will make you stand out. Your background may be in sculpture, architectural fabrication, industrial design, furniture or another field. What's most important is that you are a driven and creative team member with a positive attitude and a passion for elegant solutions to unique problems.
