It looks like you have an impressive Machine Technology program at Laney College.  I am reaching out to inform you about some fantastic employment opportunities available for students. A machinist here at the refinery performs maintenance on pumps, valves, turbines, compressors, and motors in addition to machine work. We work a 4-10 schedule Monday-Thursday with opportunity for overtime. We have a new maintenance facility that we just moved into January 2025 that includes a CNC horizontal boring mill, CNC VTL, numerous lathes and a cylindrical grinder that should be here early next year(we make a lot of pump shafts). We have just been approved to hire 10 positions a year for the next 4 years. Current wage is $40.41-$45.53-$52.84 depending on experience. Candidates starting at the lowest tier go through a 30-month training program to get to the top rate. I’m hoping to post early first quarter 2025.
