How’s it going? I’m writing to tell you about an exciting opportunity at one of our companies called
Plethora they’ve created a manufacturing system that takes customer designs and produces custom parts using robotics and advanced software that they’ve developed in house. They’re located in the Bayview near Pier 80 at Cesar Chavez and Illinois St.
They’re looking for a
Shop Tech and they’re open to hiring someone with good math skills, good mechanical aptitude, and good problem solving instincts, but they’re willing to train on CAD, CNC, etc.
Even better, they’re having an Open House/Orientation on August 13th from 5-7pm onsite, where they’ll introduce the company, talk about a day in the life of a shop technician, summarize the job requirements, demo the entire service from part design to production, do some hands on group exercises, and answer any questions that come up.
Your students (and former students) can apply through the SFMade Job Board posting and then I’ll screen them for attending the event and invite them individually.
