FYI. If interested in this position, please send a resume & cover letter o Danny Beesley (who works at Laney).

VERY IMPORTANT, make sure your cover letter talks about which of the three jobs mentioned you’re interested in AND makes the case for why you are the right person for this position.  Danny will then forward them on to his contact at Google.

Put the resume and cover letter in 1 PDF, and I would suggest you include your full name in the filename.

Regards,
Mark

Hi Danny-
This is Joe Sargent from the Shop Leaders Group and GoogleX. I am looking to fill a few positions in my shop soon and wanted to reach out to you and see if you had any leads. I know you have strong connections to Lanley and other colleges with digital fab and those are the types of backgrounds we are really looking for. The three positions we are looking for right now are.
-3D Print Technician/Shop Hand: This position heads our 3D printing service bureau. Running and processing prints on commercial 3D printers. They need to be familiar with 3D printers and be good with people. Besides 3D printing they will also help out throughout the shop.
-Fabricator: We are looking for a fabricator with a very diverse skill set. Machining/wood/digital fab/ext. This fabricator will work on a range of projects at X and in the Design Kitchen
-CNC operator: This position is a dedicated machinist, but with a strong background in plastics machining.
Let me know if you can think of anyone.

Thank You,
Joe Sargent
