Molding Technician Internship Opportunity for Rainin Instrument

Job Title:  Molding Technician Intern

Pay:  $12.55/hour to start

Length of internship:  The internship will begin in January/February, 2016 and continue until May/June of 2017

Hours:  The hours are expected to be approximately 20/week during the school year and full time Summer of 2016.  We will work the hours around your school schedule and will accommodate semester schedule changes.

Location:  7500 Edgewater Drive, Oakland, CA

We have created a 3-semester internship program to put your academic learning into practical implementation. You will be given extensive on-the-job training that will supplement and make use of your classroom education.

The goal of this internship is that our interns will graduate both college and our internship in the Spring of 2017 qualified to be hired as an Injection Molding Technician.

Interns will learn to:

·       Understand the basics of injection molding

·       Install molds into injection molding machines

·       Verify existing mold setups

·       Start and maintain proven molds

·       Maintain daily records of molding parameters

·       Maintain molding machines, molds and molding area in a clean and orderly condition

Requirements:

·       Be currently enrolled as a first year student in a biotech, biomanufacturing, engineering or related course of study in an accredited college.

·       Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

·       Ability and willingness to commit to a 16-month internship program
