TITLE:                          Maintenance Mechanic

DEPARTMENT:            Maintenance

PLANT:                                    AB&I Foundry

REPORTS TO:              Maintenance Supervisor

GENERAL FUNCTION

Assist Maintenance Department in the repair and maintenance of plant equipment.

DUTIES

1.     3-5 years of Industrial hydraulic and pneumatic experience

2.     Welding – mig & stick

3.     Cutting with a torch

4.     Be able to use hand tools

5.     Be able to do some metal fabrication

6.     Furnishes own hand tools such as crescent wrenches, pliers, screw drivers, allen wrenches

7.     Maintains clean and orderly work area.

8.     Performs all other duties as required or directed by supervisor.

9.     Wears required personal protection equipment and follows safety rules/procedures to the letter.

10.  Demonstrates initiative and self starting ability as well as team work.

REQUIREMENTS

5. Strong mechanical aptitude. 
6. Basic knowledge of and familiarity with hand tools and power tools. 
7. Proven track record of excellent attendance and dependability. 
8. Proven ability to learn and to work aggressively in an efficient and effective manner. 

12.  Exposure to disagreeable working conditions such as dust, dirt, heat, fumes, noise, and vibration, but not continuous or excessive.
