What began as a historic pottery in 1948, has evolved into a collection of businesses anchored in designing and making products, spaces, and experiences of exceptional beauty and uncompromising integrity. We are a manufacturer, led by design and sustainable business practices. We have a very diverse workplace of 200 employees that encompasses manufacturing, retail, design, communications, digital, and administrative functions. Our original Sausalito location houses our dinnerware factory and showroom. Heath San Francisco houses our tile factory, along with a showroom, and clay studio; our SF Ferry Building location is a small, but mighty, showroom; and Heath LA, a showroom and clay studio. Overview

Heath Ceramics is in the process of updating much of it’s dinnerware and tile manufacturing equipment. We are looking for a industrial controls electrician to:

_ Design and install control circuitry for new and used manufacturing equipment.

_ Troubleshoot and repair electrical machine failures

_ Identify and recommend improvements to upgrade equipment

Required Skills

_ Solid understanding of electrical theory

_ Circuit design - create original, safe solutions to deficient or non-existing control systems

_ Troubleshooting and repair AC and DC circuits to 480 volt 3 phase

_ Ability to troubleshoot electrical problems using electrical test equipment

_ Create  electrical schematics and diagrams

_ Specify, purchase and install electrical components

_ Control panel assembly - relays, contactors, fuses,  switches, lights, motors, thermocouples, transformers etc.

_ Clear communication of findings, planned revisions and actual machine changes.

_Experience with PLC programming and trouble shooting and HMI’s

_Experience with VFD’s

_Perform minor power distribution and lighting modification projects

_ Experience with gas fired control systems a plus

_ All work must be performed to the highest professional standards and meet all applicable NEC requirements.

Location  

Home base is San Francisco - may have some projects at our Sausalito location.

Qualifications

An ideal candidate has very good attention to detail, works efficiently and is always mindful of quality. MUST follow safety procedures. Must have a positive attitude and foster a team environment. MUST be willing to learn from  experienced personnel during a thorough training period. Good communication skills are required.

Facilities Manager, Production Supervisors

Schedule

_ 40 regularly scheduled hours per week, Monday-Friday

_ Overtime may be available and required

_ First shift: 7am-4pm, Monday-Friday, or at a time agreed upon by the Facilities Manager
