Earn while you learn! Water Treatment/Distribution Operator Trainees (WTDOTs) receive on-the-job training and experience for two to three years as they gain skills to promote to become journey-level Water Treatment (WT) or Water Distribution (WD) Operators.
The most competitive candidates for this position will have:
Basic mathematical knowledge including algebra, geometry, and conversions
Basic understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical principles
Ability to read mechanical systems and piping diagrams
Knowledge of common hand and power tools
Interest and ability to learn the profession, including following written and verbal instructions
