UrbanBloc is a design and manufacturing company that transforms used steel shipping containers into elegant, edgy, and hyper-functional small commercial buildings including cafes, beer tasting rooms, restaurants, retail stores and offices. We are at the forefront of an exciting new movement in the modular building and commercial real estate industry!

We are currently seeking experienced and apprentice level hands-on carpenters, welders and general well-rounded builders to work on our next projects.  This could easily develop into a full-time position for the right candidate.

Our ideal candidates would have the following qualifications:

 

Proficiency in at least one of the following skill sets:

·       Carpentry

·       Cabinet making

·       Welding

 

We look for people who:

·       Have a passion for making things, we build what we design

·       Attention to detail

·       Strong organizational skills

·       Ability to work as part of a team

·       Want to grow professionally

 

Education:

·       Formal skills training/certification would be valued but a history of making things or working in the trades is even more important

 

Pay

·       $15/hr - $30/hr depending on experience level
