Hi all,
This is a unique opportunity. Exponent is a consulting firm that does failure analysis (something goes wrong, for instance with Samsung batteries, and companies hire Exponent to figure out what went wrong. They even worked on the NFL Deflategate issue!).

They’re looking for a machinist, but someone with welding and fabrication skills as well. And also very important, the ability to troubleshoot. I suspect you’ll be working in the lab working with the engineers to run experiments, do tests, etc.

If you’re interested and want more information, send resume and cover letter to Miles Kodama mkodama@exponent.com.

Hi Mark,

You are connecting Laney machinists with jobs?  Looking for one Laney Machine Technology grad, and we have high interest if they also have the Welding Technology degree and/or is exceptional at fabrication and problem solving.

Send resumes to mkodama@exponent.com for priority versus applying on the company website.

More job info:

We’ve worked on projects like the NFL Deflategate, World Trade Center structural failures, Takata inflators, Samsung Note 7 batteries, and many high profile investigations.
