Position Summary:

The Prototype Shop Technician builds the future of high-quality, energy-efficient luminaires and lighting systems, Finelite may provide just the opportunity you’re looking for.

 

What you’ll be doing:

·       Working in Finelite’s engineering shop, you’ll take it from a shop with basic manual hand tools to a Rapid Prototype Center focusing on 3D printing, mini CNC 4 axis Mill, CNC Plasma Cutter/Router table and beyond

·       Responsible for the shop facility as well as scheduling, prioritizing, and fabricating pending prototypes

·       Help the Engineering department bring new products to the market and support our customer’s needs through customization and support of existing luminaires

 

You’ll be involved with the following:

 

Product Development:

 

·       Take part in various levels of prototypes from early concept phase to custom options of existing luminaries

·       Opportunity to fabricate, assemble, and wire prototype luminaires

 

Essential Functions:

Education: Technical degree with 2+ years of applicable work experience or 4+ years prototype shop experience

Portfolio: Must Provide a Portfolio of at least 4 project Work Examples the demonstrate skills listed below.
