Brief Description

Keep the production machinery in good repair and perform PM’s, repairs and overhauls.

Basic Knowledge/Skill Requirements

1.    Must read and understand electrical and mechanical blueprints, use simple shop math and possess knowledge of company, local, state and federal electrical codes.

2.    Assists with installation, operates, maintains, checks and assists in trouble-shooting all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Assists in Installing, trouble-shooting and repairing solid state and electronic equipment.

3.    Installs, operates, maintains and checks all types of mechanical equipment as directed.

4.    Possesses a working knowledge of the following equipment:

Arc welding equipment.

Gas cutting equipment and plasma cutting equipment.

Power tools such as drill presses, cut off saws, lathes, mills, and portable hand tools.

Electrical test equipment, such as voltmeter, ohmmeter, megger and ammeter.

5.    Dismantles, repairs and re-assembles gear boxes, fans, conveyors, blowers, compressors, pumps, valves, furnaces, drives and all allied mechanical equipment when directly related to electrical trouble shooting.

6.    Possess working knowledge of hydraulic systems, air systems and be able to read semi-complex diagrams and trouble shoot working systems.

7.    Possess some knowledge of lubricants for all type of machines and performs necessary lubrication of production machines as directed.

8.    Must be able to work weekends.

9.    Must be well organized, learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.

10. High school graduate or equivalent.
