Hi all,
SF is talking to me about their future skilled trades needs. One of the careers they are going to be in need of is Electronic Technicians.  See info below for those (and other SF jobs).

You can have them notify you when a position becomes available. The jobs have a wide range of interesting items to work on (everything from fire engine electronic systems, burglar alarms, to Muni trolleys, and more). Plus, the pay isn’t too bad :-)

And if you aren’t an electronics person, there is a link to other job opportunities.

Finally, if you aren’t interested in working in SF because of traveling distance, my suggestion is you look at cities nearby to you, and find the websites for transit agencies (AC Transit, BART, VTA, CalTrain, SMART etc.) and water / wastewater agencies (EBMUD, SFPUC, Contra Costa WD, etc) to see what they have available. They often also have a function where they will notify you when a job becomes available.

Good luck! (and faculty, as always, forward this on to your students - and encourage them to sign up for this Jobs Newsletter directly at BayAreaManufacturingCareers.com/newsletter.html).

Thanks,
Mark
