My name is Akta Patel, Workforce Specialist at Swords to Plowshares. I just wanted to give you a heads up that Swords to Plowshares is partnering with Boston Scientific to help recruit veteran talent for an entry level Electrical Discharging Machinist (EDM) position located in Menlo Park. Swords to Plowshares will be hosting an Employer Spotlight brunch, which will allow interested veterans the opportunity to meet the employer and learn more about the careers. This event will be held at our Oakland office on Thursday September 13th at 11 am -1 pm. If your schedule permits please feel free to attend the event.

Veterans who have experience in the Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Department in the military or other mechanical MOS/rate  will be successful candidates as they will display characteristics such as accuracy and precision, visual acuity and manual dexterity. If you know a veteran who might be interested in attending please have them email employment-event@stp-sf.org.
