Position
Justification:
As
defined in the Job description this position requires a person with a multitude
of talents in many different areas. In essence the job description documents a
majority of Michael’s job requirements/skills that he has developed and practiced
during his career. In 2017 Michael supported 55 URGENT Line Down requests. There
were a total of 268 requests submitted, 241 requests were closed. There are
currently 58 open requests of which there are 11 URGENT Line Down requests
dating back to 12/14/16. 135 requests have been submitted in 2018, 113 requests
have been closed. Michael has intervened on 25 Facilities requests when they
either do not have the skills/expertise or staff are not available to address
requests in a timely manner.
I
believe what is best for Meyer Sound is to recognize the risks to the business
that could occur if line down situations are not addressed in a more proactive,
predictive equipment maintenance program. To work towards this goal we need to
provide appropriate level of staffing that will enable this program to grow. Adding
a position to support Michael is a step in the right direction.
Please
also note that this add to staff is requiring a promotion for Michael to Engineering/Production
Equipment Manager. A review to determine a competitive pay scale/compensation
package for both positions is being requested.
