CNC Machinist

Full Time, day shift

Custom Gear & Machine, Livermore

Skill Level:

·      Operational Knowledge of manual lathe and mills

·      Capable of interpreting and editing CNC program Fanuc

·      Able to read a blue prints and interpret dimensions English & Metric.

·      Follow verbal and written machining processes.

·      Attention to details and able to inspect own parts.

·      Capable in the use of standard measuring tools: caliper, micrometer, ruler and tape measure.

·      Strong basic math and geometry is a must.

·      Capable of lift 50 lbs.

·      Able to work as a team and independently is a must.

Duties:

·      Set-up, operate, and maintain CNC equipment.

·      Set-up manual & CNC mill to drill and tap holes.

·      Observe machining operations and verify machine part conformance to drawing.

·      Replace cutting tools/inserts and establishing new offsets.

·      Modify programs as require to meet product conformity.

·      Deburring machined parts as required

·      Assist to load and unload parts from CNC lathe or mill.

·      Assist to load and unload parts from manual gear hobber or shaper.

·      Assist to package production parts for shipment.

·      Keep shop work area clean.

Education:

·      High School Diploma or equivalent

Required Experience: 

·      Two years’ experience or equivalent college level training
