Position Title: Maintenance Mechanic C	Maintenance Dept.  – Hayward Plant
	Shift:  3rd Shift
Rate:Starting$23.49/hr.After1 year $26.37/hr	Work Week:  Sunday through Saturday

Brief Description

Keep the production machinery in good repair and perform PM’s, repairs and overhauls.

 

Basic Knowledge/Skill Requirements

I.          BROAD FUNCTION

 

Keep the production machinery in good repair and perform PM’s, repairs and overhauls.

 

II.         PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1.     Must possess sufficient education and on the job experience to qualify.  Must read and understand basic electrical and mechanical blueprints, use simple shop math and possess knowledge of company lockout safety.

2.     Assists with installation, operates, maintains, checks and assists in trouble-shooting all types of A/C and D/C electrical equipment. Assists in Installing, trouble-shooting and repairing solid state and electronic equipment.

3.     Installs, operates, maintains and checks all types of mechanical equipment as directed.

4.     Possesses a working knowledge of the following equipment:

Power tools such as drill presses, cut off saws, lathes, mills, and portable hand tools.

Electrical test equipment, such as voltmeter, ohmmeter, and ammeter.

5.     Must possess the necessary personal tools of the trade.

6.     Replace electrical motors, relays, timers and all allied electrical equipment.

7.     Possess basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, air systems and be able to read basic diagrams and trouble shoot working systems.

8.     Perform miscellaneous jobs as required.

9.    Must be able to work weekends.

10. Must be well organized, learn quickly and work with minimal supervision.

11. High school graduate or equivalent.
