How are you going to get your students access to software during the fall semester? *

If you're still trying to figure this out check out the webinars we have below.  The August 6 one talks about virtual machines and about remote desktops. The August 13 one goes into more details about security issues specifically around Splashtop Remote desktop software.

1) We had a demo from Splashtop showing their remote desktop software and talking about security and privacy issues.

Cost estimates:
 - $100 per computer for 25 computers (includes up to 250 users, although currently Splashtop is not limiting users).
 - $80 per computer for 100 computers (1000 users, although currently Splashtop is not limiting users)

Possible further educational discounts are available.

There our other remote desktop software out there including Guacamole, Chrome remote desktop, Teamviewer, etc.

I don't have experience with any of these but do know that Splashtop is being used within the Peralta community college District and it seems to be working well. They've also been very responsive.

Thanks,
Mark

* Hey sorry to be sending so many emails out about this. But I feel software access is one of the critical issues around a lot of manufacturing and engineering classes which are being done remotely.
