Hi all,
If you have any students/clients interested in learning about electricity, Los Medanos has an introductory class. Lots of need for electrical and maintenance technicians with this skillset. Looks like classes start on June 18.

Regards,
Mark

Hello Mark,
Here at Los Medanos College (losmedanos.edu) we offer Etec-4 and Etec-9 class starting June 18, 2018. Etec-4 is an introduction to electricity class, and will give the student a good overview of everyday applications of electricity. It will introduce them to the world of electricity. Etec-9 is a math class designed for students in our electrical certification program, there is a one year of Algebra with a C grade required for the Etec-9 class. As you know there is a demand for technicians in the electrical field, and our two year program will prepare them for such a career.

Sincerely,
Pat Martucci

Subject: Manufacturing / Skilled Trades summer programs for high schoolers / young adults

Hi all,
If any of your colleges have summer classes or programs which would be especially useful for high schoolers or young adults interested in manufacturing/skilled trades, please send me the details and I’ll get it out to my network of teachers and manufacturers. A link to a website would be ideal, or if not, a flyer.

Thanks,
Mark
