Hi all,
As mentioned in a previous email, Rolls-Royce is finalizing the shutdown of their aircraft engine repair facility in Oakland. They had a number of experienced, skilled and dedicated employees who stayed with the company to complete final jobs and remove and disposition equipment and parts. The plant shuts down at the end of August.

If you are looking for experienced employees in material handling, logistics, supply chain, maintenance, HR, machining, electricians, scheduling, etc. please look over the attached resumes (for about 20 different employees). FYI, this is just a few of the almost 300 employees that are looking for jobs.

You can send any of your job postings to Jon Marti at Rolls-Royce (Jon.Marti@Rolls-Royce.com) and she will get them out to all of the recently laid-off employees (and copy me and I’ll get them out to my network of community college students and alumni).

Note, while the facility was in Oakland, there were employees commuting from Discovery Bay, Fremont, San Jose, and many other far-flung places so there are people looking for opportunities all over the Bay Area.

Regards,
Mark
