Just a reminder about the Northern California HTEC CNC Machining Conference on October 19 (Saturday) at Laney College in Oakland. Registration and networking starts at 7:45 am, full conference
goes from 8:30 am - 4:30 pm.
If you work with CNC machining, then you shouldn't miss this. It's
free for all.
It's a great opportunity to network with other CNC instructors and industry professionals. Details are in the attached PDF and here are some highlights:
1) Two different presentation tracks:
a) 5th axis programming, set-up, tooling & filtering - learn some of the tools &
techniques for 5-axis machining
b) CNC maintenance - learn tricks of the trade to take care of your machine when
you don’t have a lot of experience (or time)
2) Learn about upcoming teacher training opportunities as well as funding
opportunities for your programs (from the state of California & Haas Foundation)
3) Find out about the expansion of apprenticeships in the Bay Area
4) Discover approaches during our panel session on how to get more non-traditional populations into
careers in machining & manufacturing
5) See the new Haas camera in action and join the raffle (free, of course) to win one!
