Dear manufacturers,
I just posted the note below asking if there are any manufacturers who might actually need additional workers (or manufacturing capacity) because they are supplying critical medical (or other) equipment and supplies.

I know there aren’t many but there might be a few. If so, please let us know your needs at:

And we’ll get the word out to manufacturers, and I can also work with you to try and help with your workforce needs.
We have lots of community college students in the skilled trades who are looking for things to do. They can’t apply for unemployment and it’s unlikely that colleges will start back up anytime soon.

Regards,
Mark

Hi all,
I realize that most Bay Area manufacturing companies right now are idle or running at low capacity.

However, I was wondering if there are any Bay Area companies manufacturing critical medical (or infrastructure) items that actually might need more capacity or workers?

WORKFORCE
Maybe there's a company looking for more people to add to a 2nd or 3rd shift to get these critical items out faster.
If so, we have a lot of community college folks in the skilled trades who are out of school right now, and might be able to help out - even if it's assembly work.

EQUIPMENT OR FACILITIES
Also, I've been contacted by one company that has a Class 8 CLEANROOM for manufacturing sterile and non-sterile items.
Another company that has idle CNC machines (and there are a lot of those).

If you're a company looking for specific capabilities please post on this thread, INCLUDING WORKFORCE NEEDS - and I'll get the word out.
