It’s that time of year again!!!
In partnership with Alameda County Probation, Alameda County Workforce Development Board, Insight Global, Ring Central, KMEL, Lao Family, West Oakland Job & Resource Center and the Oakland Private Industry Council, Alameda County Social Services Agency (SSA), is proud to present our Annual Fair Chance Job and Resource fair on:

Many of you participated last year and we are hopeful you will consider attending this year’s event as well. We will be providing lunch for employers (no bag lunches, lol), plenty of free parking, exhibit table and chairs all at NO COST!
Due to the overwhelming success of our previous hiring event, we anticipate 80+ employers and community-based organizations; so please register at your earliest convenience.
Similar to last year, we will have barbers & stylists on site, free or low fee CA ID’s, and new this year, one on one career coaching, free headshots for job seekers, KMEL celebrity DJ Sana G, music, and so much more.
Those who participated in our re-entry simulation last year provided very positive feedback. This year, we will be hosting a panel discussion about Fair Chance Hiring, including the best practices, challenges, and benefits. So, whether you currently practice Fair Chance Hiring or are interested in learning more, we invite you to attend this pre-fair event from 9:00 am to 10:30 am.
Although the primary focus is on fair chance hiring, this annual event also attracts veterans, youth, and skilled trade people and it is open to all job seekers.
