Hi,
The Women in Mfg Skilled Trades (WiMST) is a community of practice for women (and allies) in the manufacturing skilled trades (machining, welding, industrial maintenance, electronics, CAD, quality control, etc.)

We're having our 2nd facility tour on Thursday, Nov 7 (2:15 pm - 5:15 pm) at Lawrence Livermore National Labs (Livermore, CA).  We will tour the following labs:

  • Main Bay - machining, heat treatment, and inspection services.
  • Target Fabrication  - manufacturing components for the National Ignition Facility (working on nuclear fusion).
  • AML  - invents and develops some of the world’s most sophisticated manufacturing equipment.

We would like to invite those who are employed in the manufacturing skilled trades, as well as students at local community college and high school programs, to tour the facility (note: space is limited).

If you are interested, please let us know by filling out this form. We'll let you know who we are able to accommodate. And WiMST allies are welcome to sign up as well!

Regards,

Larry Sage
