Dear CNC Manufacturers,
For those of you who have CNC equipment, we know that it can be difficult at times to find CNC operators.

I wanted to let you know about a community college training program that we're working on focused on training high-functioning autistic adults. Many autistic individuals offer a unique set of attributes that work well in a CNC career.

Our goal (pending funding) is to run a 12-week, full-time program in the South Bay the summer of 2025. The cohort would be from 6-8 students. And just a note, this program is not charity. This is a well-established program at a number of community colleges throughout the country and the graduates are productive and efficient full-time employees contributing to their company.

I am reaching out to Bay Area manufacturers to see who might be interested in this program. We're looking for companies that:

    1) would consider hiring from the program (no commitments required), and

    2) for those wanting to be more involved, willing to be on an advisory committee to help us as we implement the program.

There are no commitments required at this time, just wanted to start collecting names of interested companies (see survey here).

Regards,
Mark

P.S. If you know someone that might want to be a student in the program, they can register their interest here.
