Dear Bay Area Manufacturers,
If you have employees who are interested in upgrading their skills, be sure and encourage them to sign up for a community college (CC) class. Most of the 28 Bay Area CC’s start next week (January 23) and at only $138 for a (typical) 3 unit class, it’s the best value you’ll find for training.

For instance, Laney College (Oakland) has openings in it’s evening intro to manual machining class (MACH210) starting on January 23. Think about sending a QC inspector, CNC operator, or even an engineer (!) to learn manual machining to help improve their knowledge of the manufacturing process.

Colleges have classes in welding, machining, electronics, HVAC, carpentry, and numerous other careers. To find out what is available in the Bay Area, go to:

BayAreaManufacturingCareers.com

From there you can find the details of what each college offers.

Thanks and please let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Mark
