Dear CNC Manufacturers,
De Anza is looking for a couple of industry panelists this Saturday for the Haas Technical Education Conference (HTEC) they’re hosting in Cupertino this Saturday, Oct. 13. This is the annual gathering of CNC educators in the state of California.
It’s a great opportunity to meet CNC educators and to get the word out about the needs at your company. Panel session will start around 11:30 am. A little more detail is below. If you’re a CNC supervisor or owner, and would like to help out - please contact Mike Appio and Chris McHugh (copied here).

Subject: De Anza College conference Industry Panel
I left you a voice message regarding a favor that I need from you. As you know, I facilitate the Industry Round Table at the Conference. I am looking to identify 2 or 3 local machine shop Supervisors or Owners to participate in the Panel discussion. Selway has sort of struck out on finding the Industry Panelists…. The ideal candidate is a small to medium shop. The ideal shop is an employer of Graduates of the local College and University Manufacturing or Engineering programs (certainly yours included). All I need is contact information, and I will do the work to recruit them onto the Industry Panel. There is no skill required to sit on this panel. I ask three simple questions: · What is your current staffing needs? · What is your staffing needs in the next 12 to 24 months? · What technology are you looking to invest in within the next 2-3 years? The value is for the Educators at the Conference to get a first-hand view of what the local Manufacturing Shops are seeing and in need of. This has worked well in previous conferences around the US. Thanks in advance for any shop contact information that you can give me.
