Dear Manufacturing Colleagues,
I wanted to let you know about some initiatives to help out manufacturers in the Bay Area.

1) Manufacturing Courses (Online & In-Person)

The East Bay Workforce Development Boards, along with AMBayArea and the Bay Area Community Colleges have developed a resource listing online manufacturing courses and training providers. At this site you can filter / search for and find a wide range (over 1400) different online courses. You can then click through to the training provider site to purchase directly (or in some cases there are free courses - which you can filter by). This is a great way to find classes that you (or your employees) might want to take. And most of these classes are self-paced, so you can start whenever you want.

In addition, we’ve included Bay Area Community College in-person manufacturing classes (over 600) to this site as well. So if you want something in-person, you can search specifically for those classes. NOTE: most community college classes are starting within the next week or so, so check it out now!   https://ambayarea.com/mfgcoursecatalog/

2) Survey on new initiatives and Job Fair

I’ve created a short survey form to get your feedback about 2 items:
 - Job Fair (virtual) - we want to have one soon and wanted to get your input
 - New Initiatives - give input on how the community colleges can help manufacturers

It won’t take long, so spend a few minutes to give us your input.

3) Community college courses starting back up now

As mentioned above, the community colleges are starting classes back up in January. Search for classes at the online catalog
A number of college are also having events and open houses to answer your questions. Here are a couple below. If you’re interested in a different college, please check their website.
